WHAT IT IS
A unique method of manual
facial rejuvenation
I use a “split technique” where I pick up areas of dense tissue or empty space, rub it together and stretch it so it eventually becomes even with the surrounding tissues. Face Splitmassage also works through deep manipulation of muscles, attachments, ligaments, fascia, skull bones, deep and superficial fat pads, and subcutaneous fat that make up the structure of the face and neck.
Each layer of these structures develops “deformations” due to age-related changes we all experience— as a certified Face Splitmassage specialist, I will work with all of them.

THE FIRST STEP
Diagnostics
We all experience age-related issues that begin to show in the face and neck. Diagnostics of the facial tissue is essential in every Splitmassage series. Performed in front of a mirror, I will palpate the muscles to assess trigger points, identifying places of muscle spasms, fibrosis, edema, and adhesions.
This allows me to understand the where your root causes of age-related issues are for a fully individualized treatment.

Additional Enhancements
Along with Face Splitmassage, certain techniques may be included to enhance each client’s desired results.
These enhancements include intra-oral splitmassage (buccal massage), face cupping, aesthetic taping, and split massage Gua Sha.

Intraoral massage performed with gloves — an effective technique for eliminating hypertonicity in the facial muscles. Relieves tension where muscle attaches to bone, reduces swelling and dark circles, and lifts the cheekbones.

Kinesio tape enhances Split-massage results. Edema or muscle spasms decrease the interstitial space between cells, pinching lymph vessels. Kinesio tape lifts the skin above muscles and ligaments to support them, improve blood flow, and encourage lymphatic drainage.

Vacuum cups gently glide over the skin to release adhesions, redistribute fat tissue, improve lymphatic drainage, and improve the volume of the face.

6–10 procedures, one per week is necessary to achieve best and long-lasting results. Results vary per individual. Supporting treatments of 1–3 sessions per month maintain results after the initial series.
