What You’ll Learn In Face Yoga
-
You will learn how to activate, isolate, and be more mindful of your facial muscles and how you are using them throughout the day.
-
You will be more empowered and in control of how you age. Face yoga helps add volume to the face, contour the jawline, release muscle tension, firm the skin, and reduce wrinkles.
-
Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, you are energetically balancing internal organs by applying pressure to different areas of the face.
You are also activating glands in the brain such as the hypothalamus which links the nervous system to the endocrine system.
-
You will improve your overall health and well-being. It is a mindful practice and it is important to breathe while holding the poses. You are assisting the lymphatic system to flow which carries cellular waste to the lymph nodes and improves our immune system.
We are bringing blood flow to all areas of the face which brings nourishment to the skin and muscles and improves eyesight.
Finally, our muscles will remain strong and functioning well as we age to help with speaking, chewing, swallowing, and hearing!

You may need to build up to a full 30-second hold and that is totally fine. Don’t stay in any position if you are feeling pain and work up gradually.

Skin always follows muscle. When we lift the muscle, the skin needs time to “catch up”. If you see this occur, it is temporary, and the skin will lift along with the muscle.
